Sterilisation occurs in the sterilisator for instruments, drills, planers, matrix, fasteners, clips, endodontic instruments, kits for implantology and surgical linen aprons, compresses, hats, handpieces. Used instruments are submerged into special vessels with desinfecting agents which reduces the bacteri presence for 90%. After office hours are finished, the instruments are transferred into an infrared vessel where the action of desinfecting agent increases by the ultrasound vibration and temperature between 60 and 80 degrees Celsius – thus enabling additional clensing and decontamination.
After rinsing and drying, instruments are packed in separate packaging made of paper and polypropylen which are heat-closed by fissure in electronic thermoseal. Each packaging has its designation which, after the sterilisation has been finished, changes colour thus confirming the finalisation of the process. The sterilisation is actualised in autoclave where the last microorganisms are being destroyed through combined action of heated steam (130 degrees Celsius) and increased pressure.
In our centre autoclave class B are used, accompanied by electronic control. At the end of the procedure the listings of undergone procedures are received nad accordingly archived. The efficency of autoclava are regulary controlled through single-use chemical testings which, through the change of colours, confirm the efficiency of sterilistaion. Our centre runs sterilisation test once a week according to the norm EN-867-1, and monthly according to the norm EN-866-1.B.
