Bridges and dentures to dental implants!

Fixed bridge

As an alternative to wearing a full denture multiple implants can be placed across the jawbone to provide support for a fixed bridge. This procedure requires careful diagnosis, planning and coordination before treatment begins. The number of implants necessary for a full-arch fixed bridge varies depending on your particular anatomy, the opposing teeth, the type of bridge you want to have placed and the number of teeth you want or need to replace with the prosthesis. In recent years, we have learned that it is often possible to place a full arch of implants and connect them to a fixed bridge – which means the implants are receiving “load” from chewing forces as soon as they are placed.

All On 4™

The All-on-4® treatment concept provides edentulous and soon-to-be edentulous patients with a fixed full-arch prosthesis on four implants on the day of surgery. This quickly leads to improved patient satisfaction – with regards to function, esthetics, sense, speech, and self-esteem. Two key elements significantly reduce treatment complexity, the number of surgeries, and the overall treatment time: tilting of the posterior implants avoids the need for time-consuming bone grafting procedures, while immediate loading shortens time to teeth. The All-on-4® treatment concept is not only the least time-consuming treatment option, but also the least costly in comparison with conventional implant treatment modalities of the edentulous and soon-to-be edentulous jaw.

Fixed hybrid denture

A complete set of beautiful upper or lower prosthetic teeth can be immediately fixed on four or more dental implants that have been securely anchored in the jaw. This is what is known as a fixed hybrid restoration or fixed hybrid denture, and it is recommended for those who have lost or are about to lose all of their upper or lower teeth. As in the case of a removable denture, the hybrid restoration supplies both new prosthetic teeth and gum tissue. This procedure provides a permanent functional dental restoration with unsurpassed esthetics, resulting in a dramatic quality of life improvement for patients.

Implant overdenture

An implant overdenture fits over a dental implant with various types of attachments that provide you with excellent stability and retention of your complete dentures. The implant overdenture is a full denture used to replace the teeth in a full-arch where all the teeth are missing. The denture can “snap” into place to afford you more comfort, and improved chewing ability. Implant overdentures are held in place by various dental attachments selected by your restorative doctor to provide maximum retention, and increased chewing ability. The implant overdenture is removable to facilitate cleaning of the implant supporting structure. Implant overdentures can be made to look extremely natural and feel comfortable.
